❓ What is SAHRÉ?
SAHRÉ (pronounced SAR-RAY) stands for Safety, Health, Responsibility. We create thoughtfully designed hearing protection for infants, babies, toddlers, and young children — with a focus on comfort, non-toxic materials, and care.
❓ What age are SAHRÉ earmuffs suitable for?
Our earmuffs are designed for children from newborn through to approximately 5 years old. The soft, adjustable band ensures a gentle fit for growing heads at various stages.
❓ Are the earmuffs safe for newborns?
Yes — SAHRÉ™ earmuffs are specially designed for newborns and young babies, using only non-toxic, baby-safe materials. They are BPA-free, phthalate-free, PFAS-free, and completely free from any 'nasties' — because your baby deserves only the gentlest, safest protection.
The earmuffs are secured with a soft, flexible elastane band that is designed to sit comfortably without applying hard pressure to delicate newborn heads.
When using SAHRÉ earmuffs on a newborn, we recommend the following:
- Gently position the band so that it rests softly around the head, much like a loose headband.
- Take care to avoid pulling the band too tight, and ensure it isn’t creating any discomfort on the scalp.
- Once the band is in place, adjust the earmuff cups to fully cover the baby’s ears.
- Ensure they form a light seal around the ears to reduce external noise, but without any pressure being applied to the sides of the head.
- Finally, recheck the fit after a few minutes to confirm that your baby remains calm, comfortable, and well-supported.
As always, supervision is essential — do not leave the earmuffs on or with a newborn unattended.

❓ Can SAHRÉ™ earmuffs be used unsupervised?
While SAHRÉ™ earmuffs are made from safe, non-toxic materials and are designed with your child’s wellbeing in mind, they should never be used unsupervised.
For safety reasons:
- Do not leave the earmuffs on or with an infant or child unattended.
- Always supervise their use, especially with babies and toddlers.
- When not in use, store the earmuffs safely out of reach of infants and young children.
- SAHRÉ earmuffs are not toys and should not be used for play.
Our products are designed to offer comfort and protection — not to replace attentive care. Supervision ensures both safety and proper use.
❓ What materials are used in SAHRÉ products?
SAHRÉ earmuffs are made using:
- A soft elastane band to secure the earmuffs gently
- Non-toxic, Sound absorbing acoutsic foam and ABS plastics for sound reduction
- Materials that are BPA-free, phthalate-free, PFAS-free and contain no 'nasties'
- A non-toxic microfibre drawstring bag for safe storage
❓ What situations are SAHRÉ earmuffs suitable for?
Our hearing protection is perfect for:

❓ Will they stay on my baby’s head?
Yes! The soft, stretchable band keeps the earmuffs securely in place without discomfort. Unlike bulky hard-band designs, SAHRÉ earmuffs are designed to be worn comfortably even while sleeping or nursing.
❓ How do I adjust or position the earmuffs?
Simply:
- Place the band around your baby’s head like a headband.
- Slide the earmuff cups into place over each ear.
- Adjust gently to ensure a snug yet comfortable fit.
The band is reversible and can be worn with the cups above or below the band, depending on your child’s comfort.
❓ How much sound do they block?
SAHRÉ earmuffs provide passive noise reduction, reducing loud or harmful sounds without completely silencing the world. This helps your child feel calm while still staying aware of your voice and surroundings.
While they are not rated to industrial specifications, they offer excellent everyday protection for common family scenarios.
❓ Are they washable?
Yes!
- The elastane band can be hand-washed in warm water with mild detergent.
- The earmuff cups can be wiped clean with a soft cloth.
- Always ensure all parts are dry before storing them in the provided microfibre bag.
❓ Do the earmuffs come with a case?
Each pair of SAHRÉ earmuffs includes a soft, non-toxic microfibre drawstring bag for safe, clean storage and transport.
❓ Are your products tested or certified?
Our materials are comprehensively tested and certified by independent third party fully licenced testers and carefully sourced to meet international safety standards for baby and children’s products. We prioritise chemical-free, non-toxic, and skin-safe materials in all aspects of production.
❓ Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we primarily ship within Australia, but international shipping may be available on request. Please contact us at info@sahre.com.au to enquire about options for your location.
❓ What are your shipping times and costs?
- Orders are dispatched within 2–4 business days.
- Standard shipping: Flat rate $7.95
- Free shipping on orders over $75
- Delivery time varies by location (metro areas: 3–7 business days)
❓ Can I return or exchange my earmuffs?
We accept returns for unused, unopened items within 30 days. If your product is faulty or damaged, we will happily offer a repair, replacement, or refund.
